This week marks the start of the MLB regular season and next week will see the return of the NBA and NHL. If you think you’re excited, imagine the anticipation for a DFS/sportsbook operator like FanDuel.

FanDuel Casino PA: Many online casinos in Pennsylvania, including FanDuel, will accept cash-at-counter deposits and withdrawals, as well as checks, and credit or debit cards for deposits. Start the withdrawal process online, and after the transaction is approved, you will be able to collect your payout at the cashier’s cage at Valley Forge. To use site credit or bonus funds on FanDuel Sportsbook you just need to place a bet. The site will automatically take from your bonus wallet first. If you don't have bonus funds to cover the wager, the remaining funds will be taken from cash balance. Your wallet balance can be comprised of three different types of funds.

FanDuel is so pumped for the return of three of the Big 4 sports leagues in the US, they are offering account holders $10 in site credit for either the sportsbook or daily fantasy. The deposits are part of an $80 million promotion, the largest in company history and likely the largest in post-PASPA industry history.

“We are excited for the return of sports and wanted to give all of our customers a chance to get in on the action for free,” said Mike Raffensperger, CMO of FanDuel Group said in a statement Tuesday. “Putting more than $80 million in site credits into our customers’ accounts to enter DFS contests or to make legal sports bets is a thank you to our customers for their loyalty during this long stretch without the NBA, NHL and MLB.”

It’s been interesting from an industry perspective to watch companies that subsist mostly on American major league competition pivot to a world that saw the competitions halted over the coronavirus pandemic. Not only did FanDuel Sportsbook and others stay relevant in a world without the handle giant that is March Madness, they’ve thrived. FanDuel recently expanded their online casino to Pennsylvania after opening it last year in New Jersey. Events like UFC and celebrity golf match play created record volume. These companies have their patient, loyal customer bases (yes, that likely means you) to thank for wagering on Korean Baseball and other non-traditional sports.

New players can still enjoy the risk-free bet on the site, up to $500. Just sign up, make a deposit, and the site will credit your account. That easy. You can get started here.

The confidence of the betting public has helped FanDuel become the top operator in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in monthly revenue for months. To return the favor, the site is offering returning customers a day of risk-free betting, up to $100 between Tuesday and Aug. 2. The date of Aug. 2 is also the deadline to use the $10 in site credit, either on the books or daily fantasy side.

NHL and NBA offers from FanDuel

When Lord Stanley presented the Montreal Hockey Club the inaugural Dominion Hockey Challenge Cup in 1893, he likely didn’t think the competition would evolve into the most compelling and physically grueling postseason in North American sports. He certainly couldn’t have foreseen the trophy handed out after games played in August. And yet, here we are.

Twenty-four teams will descend upon two of the cities he oversaw as Governor-General of Canada to vie for hockey’s Holy Grail. FanDuel is offering fans an opportunity to win some more bonus credit during the first stages of these playoffs. Players who bet $50 or more on a team to win the Stanley Cup will get $10 per game that team wins in their first five games played. This counts the Qualifying Round best-of five series and the seeding games for the top four teams in each conference.

Similar deals are available for the NBA and MLB Futures. Make a $50 bet on championship odds and each win in the first five games of the regular season will earn $10 in site credit. The bonus will only pay out for the first qualifying team wager so be judicious if planning to go after multiple championship futures plays.

More North American team sports are returning soon, and that means the return of daily fantasy sports contests as well. FanDuel recently announced that it has given bonus site credit to its customers, totaling more than $80 million.

FanDuel has added $10 to all US player accounts, for use in online DFS play or sports wagering. For Tennesseans, that means some free chances to win real money.

Details on the FanDuel site credit

On Tuesday, FanDuel alerted everyone to its news. All eligible US accounts got a $10 credit. The only condition on the site credit is that it expires on Aug. 2. Of course, how you use that partially depends on where in the US you’re located.

FanDuel Sportsbook is not accepting wagers in Tennessee, at least not yet. Tennesseans who travel to other states where FanDuel Sportsbook does operate online, like Indiana, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, can use the credit to place wagers.

Although three potential online sportsbook operators have submitted partial applications in Tennessee, there is no official news about which companies have done so. The Tennessee Lottery hasn’t issued any updates since the middle of June on that process.

For now, FanDuel customers in Tennessee can use the $10 credit to play DFS contests. There is a great variety there. That goes for not only entry fees, but sports as well.

FanDuel is currently offering DFS contests based on MLB and WNBA regular-season games. Both of those leagues expect to start playing this weekend. Entry fees range from just a couple of bucks to hundreds of dollars.

FanDuel is sure to also offer contests based on the resumed NBA and NHL seasons when those happen. Those contests may be of greater interest to Tennessee sports fans. The NBA is scheduled to return on July 30, and the NHL is scheduled to return Aug. 1.

In addition, a litany of Memphis Grizzlies and Nashville Predators players will be available for rostering in FanDuel’s basketball and hockey contests. The fantasy heavy-hitters on those teams include:

  • Jonas Valanciunas: 14.9 points, 11.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.1 blocks per game
  • Ja Morant: 17.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 0.9 steals per game
  • Jaren Jackson Jr.: 16.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.6 blocks per game
  • Filip Forsberg: 48 points, 21 goals, 27 assists
  • Roman Josi: 65 points, 16 goals, 49 assists
  • Juuse Saros: 17 wins, four shutouts, .914 save percentage

With FanDuel customers all over the nation enjoying the free credit, it’s likely the company will offer a healthy volume of plays. Those who have the best models for predicting player performances could win big. If it comes as a result of playing for free, that makes any winnings even sweeter.
